The UHP 40,000 PSI Water Jetting System is quickly becoming the accepted method for cleaning and surface preparation for coatings on:
- Tanks
- Loading Docks
- Pipelines
- Pipe Racks
- Docks
- Bulkheads
- Bollards
When cleaning tanks the UHP Water Jetting System has superior application in interior and exterior cleaning. Covered and open floating roofs can be cleaned and recoated while remaining in service. The UHP process does not present a sparking hazard as does Grit Blasting. Most UHP Water Jetting equipment is vacuum attached and remotely controlled. The vacuum allows for complete recovery of all water, paint, rust and contaminates and returns them to a filter skid. The filter skid reduces the drumable waste to the amount of solids removed from the tank. Waste reduction represents a great cost savings in hazardous waste disposal. The water is filtered and tested and can normally be dumped into the terminal waste water system.
UHP Water Jetting has been proven in the removal of light and heavy oil residue, asphalt, animal and fish oil residue, hardened dry storage residue and dust removal. Tank lining such as paints, Fiberglas and rubber are easily removed with UHP.
The vacuum attached UHP water Jetting System is a very efficient and environmentally friendly method for removing lead based paints as well as some types of asbestos.
UHP is a very good method for cleaning lined and unlined concrete dikes and concrete truck loading ramps.
UHP can be used to cold cut inspection openings, clean outs, door sheets, and shell and floor plates for removal and replacements. The removal of steel floating roofs can be performed very safely using UHP Water Cutting.
